The above quote couldn’t be more true.
I think daily about how I am influencing and shaping my daughters.
I marvel at the new words, phrases, actions, and things they are doing.
I want to be active in what they are learning.
I love the Reusable Activity Book I made Jbird (and so does she). It provides me the opportunity to be a part of teaching her her letters, numbers, words, and more.
When dinner is finished, we get together and review her day. Then we pull out her activity book and do some pages. I’m a proud Momma, she’s pretty much mastered all the pages. It’s time to find more.
I was so pleased to stumble upon School Sparks that I just had to devote a blog post to this awesome site.
Renee (a former preschool and kindergarten teacher for 13 years) runs the site, and as she says
I began quietly compiling a list of the most effective activities, ideas, and worksheets that I had created and used over the years with my preschool and kindergarten students. I would stay up at night after a full day of teaching, recording insights gleaned from that day in the classroom.
I’m happy she is sharing her knowledge!
From School Sparks, I have used {and LOVED}
The Kindergarten Worksheets which include the Alphabet Parade, Math/Number Awareness, Reading Skills, and MORE!
All Children Can Be Great Listeners (Free PDF in the right hand column)
And, just in time for Easter,
New e-book: Easter board game and activities for young kids.
I’m also going to (in a year) be using the Kindergarten Readiness Test.
Okay, enough gushing about this site. Check it out for yourself. And the Facebook Page. And the Pinterest Boards.
What site(s) do you currently love? I’m always looking for new ones to visit.

I love that you are so involved and inspired by learning – your children are lucky to have such a great Mum!

Thanks Jody :)
They’ll come a time when they’ll wish I wasn’t so involved …. :(
Thanks for this resource! Bookmarking it now.

It is a great site. I love that she is putting in seasonal books/sheets.
I am going to check out School Sparks right now! I’ve been looking for some good summer activities – I don’t want H to forget everything he learned this year. :-)

Your *new* preschooler will love them, and I encourage you to make a reusable book. Best thing I did, it really helped JBird learn how to write her name.

Oh man, I wish I came across your site (and the school sparks site) 6 months ago! I started homeschooling my Kindergarten aged child in January, and these worksheets would have been a dream!! I have bookmarked them for when my little one enters Kindergarten (or even preschool). Thank you for the resource!

You’re welcome, and you could probably still use them for your older child (reinforcing what they learned). Do you see the link to the Reusable Activity Book? There are even more great sites listed in that post.
