I’ve flip-flopped over posting this photo. It is only 1 of a handful of the family. Yep, it’s that hard to get us all together. Usually I’m behind the lens, or my husband is, but not in this one.
It’d be nice to feature the family since I usually post pictures of just JBird, or Thumper, or both.
So why don’t I want to post the family one?
I don’t think I look good. Blah. Fat-faced. Over-smiling. I’m not fishing for a bunch of nice comments, but rather just telling you that’s what I think.
Regardless of how I’m not pleased with my “look”, here it is, along with our thoughts :)

I love photos that are natural, in everyday clothes and you look so happy with your hubs and kiddos in this one (also love the street background). I know what you mean though. In every family photo I am making sure the kids get in and then I do a huge “cheese’ which makes my neck bones stick out. Scary. In my post today, I think my calves looks like rugby players ones…

I’m not sure I have ever taken a picture that didn’t leave me feeling critical – why do we do that to ourselves?! We should be kinder to… us. :-)

Family pictures are always perfect. We’ve hardly had any as a family of 3, and we have yet to take one as a family of 4. A great reminder to do so. Thank you for linking up!

I always feel like we should take more family photos but it is hard. I wish we’d tried harder when Thumper was a baby. At least I have a ton of the girls together.
I used to do that too, but I want my kids to have lots of pictures with me too.
So I step in front of the camera more often.

Quit being so critical of yourself – your family is gorgeous! I say this with my last family photo being a faint memory so I get what you are saying. I love that you put each person’s thoughts in the photo!
