I’ve always had a love-hate relationship with my hair.
When I was a child, I hated it. It was red. Bright red. And no one else was a redhead. I got called Carrot-Top, Pumpkin Head. Oh how I hated my hair!!
As I grew older, I appreciated the colour and the uniqueness, but still had a dislike. This time, it was about how it styled and felt, how it just was. Uncooperative and dry. Very dry. And my straightening iron didn’t help.
When BlogHer contacted me to review Dove Damage Therapy, Daily Moisture Conditioner, it was at the perfect time! All summer we’d been at the pool, trying to escape the hot, hot, hot days. The combination of the weather and chlorine left my hair straw-like. Brittle. Every time I combed it, I found broken pieces of hair on me. And let’s not talk bout fly-aways. UGH!
I needed something to help. I’d tried a variety of conditioners, from cheap (at the gym) to very expensive (from a salon), but I didn’t really feel like anything worked. They left my hair lifeless and weighed down.
Then along came this ~
Dove Damage Therapy, Daily Moisture Conditioner
And I’m in love. After using this product for a week (all 7 days), I can honestly say, this conditioner is great. My hair is smooth, shiny, soft. It styles easier, and when I finger-comb it, my fingers glide straight through.
I also enjoy the smell. When I first opened the bottle, I thought the smell was strong and I was a little nervous. But after I lathered, rinsed, and dried, the smell diminished and was subtle. Great for me as I don’t like a heavy smell.
Call me goofy, but another HUGE LIKE about this conditioner for me was the bottom opening. BRILLIANT!
A few other great points about this conditioner:
- It helps protect hair from further moisture loss through nourishment and nourishment is the key to repairing dry and rough hair.
- The patented technology, Micromoisture Serum, targets damage, repairing the surface of hair by sealing lifted cuticles.
- Dove conditioner leave no surface greasiness!
And the bonus hairspray? Fabulous since I just got bangs again..

I like your hair with the natural curls, and the conditioner sounds lovely. I agree about the bottom opening. I use every last drop of hair conditioner, and I always have an upside down bottle in my shower, and it’s always falling over!
Thanks. Perhaps I should retire my straightner.
Hair…
Sometimes it’s our best friend… other times…
Your hair looks GREAT though….:)

Thanks Misty. Like I said love-hate … :)
This working mama needs all the help I can get with my hair! I’ve started showering at night to help eliminate a 5 AM wake-up call. The way I figure it, if I can sleep an extra 20 minutes every morning that is like an extra 1 2/3 hours/week of rest. Now that is worth its weight in gold! So come on Dove Damage Therapy conditioner…see if you can help eliminate my bed head too!
5 AM? Yikes. I agree, shower at night!!
I LOVE dove!! I started using it in HS simply because I absolutely love the clean, fresh smell.
oh, and your hair looks lovely : )
I started using it on my girls because they each had very dry skin. I’ve always been a fan of their soap, and now, I’m a fan of this conditioner.

The Dove conditioner was awesome. I was afraid, what if I didn’t like it? But I love it and have already bought another bottle!
