I just saw the movie trailer for The Hunger Games, and got chills. I loved the series and was afraid I wouldn’t find anything I liked as much. Luckily, I was wrong.
I scored an ARC copy of Glow by Amy Kathleen Ryan and devoured the book in one night.
Here’s a teaser from Amy’s Site:
“What if you were bound for a new world, about to pledge your life to someone you’d been promised to since birth, and one unexpected violent attack made survival—not love—the issue?
Sounds great,doesn’t it?
Well, it is.
Amy did a fabulous job keeping me interested in her book. She tackled so many themes, and did it well, that I was never sure where the book was going, or if I thought I did, how it was going to get there.
And the big thing – I never knew who to trust and I still don’t!
So, where does this leave me?
I need more books to read. I’ve started a 2012 To-Read List (hoping to get through at least 25 books) and I’d like more suggestions.
So help me out and win an AUTOGRAPHED copy of Glow**,

This does sound interesting! I usually stick to the classics until either I hear enough about a book to pique my interest, or someone gives me a book and says I have to read it, LOL! I have Water for Elephants and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series waiting on my bookshelf at the moment, but I have a feeling you have read both already!
I already have a copy of Glow so you don’t need to enter me in the giveaway. However….I will post a link to this post on Hooked and Happy on my blog on Saturday.

I really liked the Private series of books by Kate Brian.
The Vampire Academy books were pretty decent.
Sisterhood Everlasting(the Traveling Pants girls all grown up) was good.
I should probably stop b/c I could keep going forever.

Thanks for the giveaway!
There’s a series by Melissa de la Cruz called Blue Bloods. It’s a vampire series, but totally unlike Twilight or True Blood. They’re amazing books. Definitely check these out!
I liked your Facebook page!
I recommend Morganville Vampires by Rachel Caine and or Blood Coven series by Mari Mancusi. These two series are really good in my opinion. Vampire books but they still retain the original image unlike Stephanie Meyer’s version in which they sparkle. That just killed the image of vampires!!!

My book club is reading The Dressmaker of Khair Khana: Five Sisters, One Remarkable Family, and the Woman Who Risked Everything to Keep Them Safe.
It’s about a woman entrepeneur during Taliban rule. I’m only at the very beginning, but it promises to be an amazing story.

Matched by, Ally Condie is a terrific book on a futuristic time period. Everyone is ruled by the Society. They chose who you love, where you work, and even when you die. Cassia Reyes gets Matched to her life-long friend Xander but starts to fall in love with Ky Markham. This book is a brilliant love story and kept me reading everyday. I highly recommend this outstanding book and know you will be taken over by this amazing story-line!
Just started following you!
I have a YA book Blog and am always looking for new books to pick up. I’m also the author of the YA romance Songbird.
My book recommendations would be the Carrie Ryan’s The Forest or Hands and Teeth series and Miss. Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Chlidren by Ransom Riggs.
