A month or so ago, Julia and I went out for our annual girls night out and interview. It’s a tradition I started last year, and love it. {Do you interview your child? All I can say is, it is priceless.}
With 2 children, I often wonder if each is getting enough of my time, so I like to carve out some one-on-one.
I let Julia know we were going from a Girls Night Out, and all week long she thought about what to wear (yikes, she’s only 4!) and where she wanted to go.
Personally, I loved her choice of dress and place to go!
What a fun night, and I feel like I learned a little bit more about her. Her favorites have changed! Move over pink, purple and green are her new go to colours. And when she grows up? She wants to be a doctor, mommy, or mermaid!
I’ve uploaded the interview sheet so you can have as much fun interviewing your child too! There’s an age 4 interview sheet one and a generic interview for any age!
Have fun!!

Love this! with 4 kiddos I try my best to make sure each one gets “alone time” with my husband or me :) It can be really tricky! And it can lead to me feeling guilty, which is something I’m constantly working on. The interview printables are TOO awesome. what a great keepsake. thanks for them!
p.s. I’m so sorry I missed your pass it forward linkup. I really intended to join. For awhile there I lost my mojo. Next time?
It’s so hard to divide time “equally”, right? But I try, I really do.

Hey Carolyn – I also do this with my kids. Someone had given me a book called “Your Birthday Book” when the kids were younger, and you more or less interview the kids on their birthdays, and there is also a place for keepsakes,pictures, etc…. You are right though…their answers are priceless.
I’ve seen that book and love it!

That is awesome! Eli still isn’t talking well enough to answer those types of questions, but I can’t wait for when he is and I can do that with him!
