DIY July 4 Party Lights

For our first July 4 as Americans, I’ve been thinking about a big party and decorations!

I loved this project I pinned. I mixed it up a little and think it turned out great.

MATERIALS

Egg Carton(s) – depends on how many you want to make
String Lights (I got mine from IKEA)
Paint
Silver Glitter Glue

 DIRECTIONS

1. Cut out the egg cartons and paint.

2. Let them dry (we left them overnight).  Once they are dry we applied the glitter glue and again let them dry.

3. Make holes in center for the lights. I found a sharp pen worked well.

4. String lights and enjoy.

What a cute idea! Considering it appears fireworks will be banned in our city because of the high fire danger, we’ll need some creative ideas to celebrate. :-)

I haven’t seen anything like this before. This is extravagantly amazing! Very creative and resourceful. Perfect for the kids! I really loved the materials you put to complete the lights. We did an Egg Carton Color Sorting Activity game out of the same materials you used. You should check it out! :)
