When Julia started preschool last year, I wanted a way to remember all the special moments and artwork. I wanted to hold onto EVERYTHING, forever.
I knew it wouldn’t be possible to save ALL her artwork, so I decided to create a Yearbook of her Preschool Year.
Each day she brought home her printing pages or artwork, I piled them up. When the end of the month came I grabbed my camera and took photos, then upload them to Snapfish. {You can use any online photo site to make a book, but I like Snapfish because they are part of Upromise, and contribute to my girls 529s.}
I divided the book into months, and started off each month with a picture of Julia, from that month, in her favorite outfit. Wow, did she change over the year!
And her artwork? It progressed from scribbles to staying in the lines.
Her printing? It is unbelievable how much she progressed. I love how her name grows as she gets near the end of it. The big dot on the “i” makes me smile.
School concerts, those special cards – all made it in.
As Julia gears up to start pre-K/moving into the big girl room, we’ve flipped through her book. And she’s ready. Ready for school, ready for the big girl room, ready for her pictures to be taken.
And me? I’m ready, camera in hand and tears in my eyes.
Where’d my baby go?

Awwww, look at that. What a good idea! She’ll love it someday. :)
