This week’s post is inspired by a Mama Kat’s Writing Prompt, 5 Random facts about you and your family.
This one took some time, because what is random? What is interesting? Do the two go together? Nevertheless, I present to you Five Random Facts About Us, in no particular order of importance. Well, except for #1.
1. No one in our house likes tomatoes. In fact, I knew it was meant to be with my husband when we were out on one of our first dates and he ordered a salad, no tomatoes. A man after my own heart. I’m not sure why I hate them, but I’ve never really been able to eat them. As for my girls, I’ve grown and given them tomatoes and they cast them aside.
Oh well, I can’t make them eat them if I don’t.
2. Three out of 4 of us have our birthdays in the first 4 months of the year, with Julia and Daddy only separated by 2 days. Lauren is the outlier, she’s a September baby.
4. Both my girls look like their father. They have his head shape and cheeks. Julia looks like him the most. She’s his clone. I never thought my husband could be a good-looking female, until we had Julia.

It’s so hard to find time when everybody’s healthy and happy for portraits … but so precious to have later!

We had professional family pictures done and it was the BEST. So much fun and amazing portraits of our family during a really amazing time in our lives.

Hahaha I like how you said I never thought my husband would make a good female version. Our youngest daugher(the only one that is both of ours) Looks exactly like daddy and even though my boyfriend is very handsome…our daughter is cuter :)
I know right? I could’ve never seen him as a female until our daughter was born!
No tomatoes? Really? I don’t think I’d make it in your fam. :)

Anyway. Random fact about my fam: I gave birth to The Twins on my birthday, so three out of five of us celebrate our births on May 23rd. What’s more? It was my 30th birthday, so my day is 5.23.71, and theirs is 5.23.01. In addition? That makes all three of us Geminis…yep…the sign of the twins.

We’ve only had a couple of pictures taken together as a family of 4 and we’ve been at this for 9 months. Eep!

My random thing is inspired by one of your things. My husband hates tomatoes and I love them. The nice thing about that is that I get to eat his tomatoes. My youngest daughter used to hate tomatoes but one thing I always told them as they were growing up was to occasionally taste things again because even though you might not like it as a child your tastes change and you may like it when you get older. Well, she called me the other day and said, “Guess what mom! I love tomatoes now.” I’m glad she listened to something I told her. :)
I wonder if I will ever like them? Actually, I’ve begun to leave them on my burgers…. :)
But eating them in a salad. No, I can’t do it. Yet.
