Do you remember Pantene commercial line “Don’t hate me because I’m beautiful?”
{I think I might’ve just aged myself. Oy.}
Well – don’t hate me because I’m going to show you how to make a batch of brownies in 10 minutes.
10 minutes, start to finish!
I clipped this recipe out years ago from The Toronto Star, so I don’t know who authored it.
It’s a fast and easy dessert to make. You’ll have to play with microwaving times to get it just right.
INGREDIENTS
2 large eggs
1/4 C unsalted butter, melted, cooled
1 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 to 1 C granulated sugar (I will use 1/2 this amount next time.)
1/2 C unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 C all-purpose flour
1/3 C semisweet or white chocolate chips
1/3 C coarsely chopped macadamia or walnuts, optional
1 Professional Spoon Licker, optional
DIRECTIONS
Spray an 8-inch square glass baking dish with non-stick spray, or butter lightly.
Whisk eggs, cooled butter and vanilla in a large bowl to blend.
Add sugar, cocoa and flour, blended well.
Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
Pour into glass baking dish.
Cook uncovered in microwave oven on high until tester inserted in the center comes out clean, about 5-8 minutes.
Cool 5 minutes, cut into squares.
Devour.

Wow, those look so good, I’m sure they would be eaten at my house in ten minutes too!

Thanks, hope you visit again.
Brownies are too good. And to be able to make them in under 10 minutes, not good for my waistline… :)
Evil. Of course, my kids now love you because I just told them we could have brownies in 10 minutes!

:)
Did you end up making them? I’ve added some pureed spinach before and it is not detectable. I guess its my way of feeling slightly less guilty about the sugar.
Ok, the brownies look pretty darn good, but your spoon licker? What a sweet face! Great picture!
Thanks!
If you veganize (I think I just invented a new verb) let me know. I thought about the water/flax sub for eggs.
ohhhh my! this is so good, baking brownies in just couple of minutes. We don’t need to wait for hours just to make brownies! Those brownies look so delicious. :)
Yep, 10 minutes. Crazy, but good!
Wow, those look so good – will have to give that a try sometime!
